Running a marathon in memory of Nathan

Huge congratulations to Stephen Dowling who today ran a marathon in memory of his son Nathan, and raised an amazing EUR 18,000, which he and his wife Barbara Snacken generously donated to the Sophie Foundation.

Thank you, Stephen and Barbara for supporting our mission to help prevent premature births and support prematurely born babies, their families and caregivers!

Nathan and his identical twin brother Aidan were born in January 2020. A premature birth due to TTTS syndrome, they weighed less than 1kg. Nathan underwent an emergency operation at just one day old and despite a brave fight, they sadly lost him. Aidan has just celebrated his 1st birthday and is a thriving, radiant boy. Inspired by Nathan’s fighting spirit, Stephen decided to run a marathon (42,2 km) from The Hague to Amsterdam and raised an amazing EUR 18,000 so far from family and friends. Thank you for making a difference!
